About the project
Why SleepRecs exists
Mattress and bedding reviews are some of the hardest to trust: many review sites earn a commission on every bed they rank, and brand reps answer questions on Reddit. SleepRecs puts sleepers’ first-hand experiences in one place and lets sleepers add their own.
A mattress a back sleeper loves can hurt a side sleeper’s shoulders, and a bed that feels right in the first month can sag in the third year. Knowing how someone sleeps, how much they weigh and how long they have used it often tells you more than a score on its own.
Sleepers, not promotions
No sponsored rankings. No paid placements. We skip brand reps, store staff and review-site affiliates. Ratings come from sleeper submissions, and external comments stay separate from those ratings. Product pages link to Amazon, and SleepRecs may earn a commission when you buy through those links; that never changes a rating or ranking.
Experiences, not medical advice
Reviews describe what sleepers lived with. When someone says a mattress helped their back, that is their experience, not a medical claim. For ongoing pain, insomnia or a possible sleep disorder, talk to a doctor.
A work in progress
SleepRecs is new. Submissions are moderated before publication, web reviews link to their sources, and product names come from the makers’ own pages.
Adding your experience
You don’t need an account. Reviews are held for moderation before appearing publicly. Write about products you’ve actually slept on or used, and be specific about what worked for you.
Your privacy
An alias is optional. If you leave an email address, it is stored privately with your submission and never included in public reviews. Leave it blank if you prefer.
